MORE ABOUT COG-ED PSYCHOLOGY

Hi,

My name is Debbie and I run Cog-Ed Ltd, a specialist teaching and emotional wellbeing service for children and adolescents and a training service for parents and professionals supporting children and young people.   I have been in the education and psychology sector for over 20 years.   I am a lecturer in education, psychology and child psychology and provide support, advice and training services to children, teenagers, parents and professionals. I am a qualified mental health specialist and specialist teacher of those with dyslexia with a full assessment practicing certificate (APC) and offer full diagnostic assessments and individual/group literacy support.  I am passionate about social, emotional development and mental health, SEN, dyslexia, child and developmental psychology.

Cog-Ed Psychology offers one to one support, courses, workshops and training in all aspects of education, child and adolescent mental health, SEN/SEMH, emotional wellbeing and educational needs. I understand that parents can often feel isolated and unsure where to go for help if a child is experiencing emotional difficulty or unmet educational needs, and teachers are often limited by budgets and time.  As an experienced educator Cog-Ed offers support, advice and training for parents and professionals. We draw on evidence based interventions which are structured and multisensory and a range of psychological interventions including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), solution focused therapy and social/emotional programmes, as well as mindfulness and attachment based therapies, depending on the needs and requirements of the parent, child and setting.

Cog-Ed Psychology also offers a number of online interactive programmes to promote wellbeing and literacy which children and young people find particularly fun, and an engaging way to enhance their wellbeing and skills.
